Fremover article from the 14th of October 2010: Big exhibition about Arne Linder Olsen
9. november 2010

Next year the famous artist from Narvik Arne Linder Olsen should become 100 years old. Next autumn the Ofoten Museum wishes to celebrate his centenarian jubilee with a big exhibition.

Arne Linder Olsen was a famous artist who lived between 1911 and 1990. There are many works in Narvik and in the whole Nordland, from which most of them are not registered or documented at all. That makes the work difficult for the museum...

A big help is the Slovakian Ivana Takascova (26) who is volunteering in Narviksenteret since March 2010. Her main working place is the Ofoten Museum in Narvik. Since August 2010 the Museum offered her a task to prepare documentation about Arne Linder Olsen. It includes registering all paintings and works and meeting the people who used to know the artist whereby she is preparing a basis for the exhibition.

Before Ivana started her volunteer service, she was studying history of arts and is using her new project now for her master thesis.
