Email: kmmu@warmuseum.no | Established in 1964 and reorganized at new and lager premises in 1980 and 1996. The collections shows the Narvik Campaign of 1940, and the town during 5 years of german occupation, 1940 – 1945. The museum shows the fighting at sea, on land and in the air, with the participating forces from many nations, British, French, Polisch, German and Norwegian. Through the French Foreign Legion most parts of the world were in fact represented. The situation of the sivil population and the many foreign POW’s is also presented. The objects exhibited are gifts or deposits from private persons, Norwegian insitutions or institutions abroad, and we are still receiving new objects regularly. | |

Riddu Riddu 2010
At the end of July, we volunteers from Narviksenteret spent 5 days on Riddu Riddu, the international indigenous culture festival in Kåfjord, North Norway, which is with around 3000 visitors one of the largest Sami festivals.
